  • Shipping Data: A dedicated, anonymized shipping address is stored for the purpose of receiving gifts. This address is only shared with the sender's payment processor (Stripe) *after* a purchase is made, strictly for shipping purposes.

B. Information collected from Senders (Buyers)

  • Transaction Data: When purchasing an item via Stripe, we receive a confirmation of payment, the item's details, the total price, and the optional gift message.
  • Anonymity: We do *not* receive the sender's name, billing address, or payment card details. This information is handled exclusively by Stripe.

C. Data Collected Automatically

We may collect non-personal data related to your interaction with the site, such as IP addresses, browser type, and page usage for security and performance purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To operate and maintain the Wishlist service.
  • To facilitate the anonymous purchase and shipment of gifts (via Stripe).
  • To notify recipients of received gifts (date, item, anonymous message).
  • To update the status of items from 'available' to 'purchased' in the database (via webhooks).

A. Third-Party Services (Stripe)

We use **Stripe** for payment processing. When a gift is purchased:

  • The recipient's shipping address is securely passed to Stripe to enable direct shipping by the buyer via Stripe's shipping services.

B. Anonymity to Senders

The recipient's actual shipping address is never disclosed to the buyer. The buyer interacts with the Stripe system which facilitates the shipment.
